IMMERSIVE TRAINING

Whether you’re looking to improve safety compliance, productivity and efficiency or providing critical hands-on training to dispersed teams, without the associated difficulties, there’s no doubt the next generation of learning solutions will include Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality solutions.

It’s no longer about delivering learning to learners; it’s about putting learners into the cockpit for a first hand, jump-in-and-fly-it-yourself experience.

Whether you’re actively looking to adopt immersive learning, or just surveying the territory, here’s some more about how we’re working to improve learners experience with our unique use of these new technologies.

Virtual Reality

Where the behavioural change needs to occur in a live environment, gaming or quiz-based learning may not be the most appropriate solution. Often training might need to replicate the live working environment or emotive experience. In a classroom this might take the form of role-play, but even these exercises can’t draw on the full understanding of the role in full. This is where Virtual Reality (VR) is fast becoming a valuable training tool.. With VR, you can replicate scenarios which are typically hard to recreate. They might be dangerous or cost prohibitive, and where immersion or spatial awareness adds a higher level of understanding and a feeling of safety to the learning experience.

We are experts at creating such transformative experiences to deliver truly lasting change in behaviour.

Augmented and Mixed Reality

Augmented reality (AR) comprises of a set of technologies that superimpose digital data, animation and images onto the physical world. This helps bridge the gulf between reality (which is 3 dimensional) and informative or text-rich data and images (trapped in 2 dimensional pages and on screens currently). Often this information is required to assist or inform our decisions and actions in the physical world. AR has far reaching benefits for just-in-time training and performance support applications, where learners can superimpose help and instructions onto the real world in real time from a hand-held or head mounted device.

Our understanding and ability to deliver such innovative training applications has revolutionised how learners can imbibe and draw upon the right knowledge and skills when and where needed.

SmartGlasses based training

Sometimes, training needs to be hands-on, making it difficult to follow a learning program whilst practicing the skills being taught. Even device-based learning whether it is AR (augmented reality) or on-screen interaction, would not be appropriate in this situation.

SiyonaTech offers custom SmartGlasses solutions that deliver just-in-time training. This offers a hands-free solution and allows the learners to practice while they learn. Users are able to overlay the relevant learning or support materials in the form of graphics, text, video, interactions or other media-rich formats onto the equipment or task they are actively working on. If needed users can dial in remote experts using their SmartGlasses who can guide and support them in completing complex tasks. SmartGlasses solutions deliver the next level of training and performance support.
