Unite and inspire a truly global audience with a strong code of ethics

Our client, a world leader in the agri-foods sector, updated its Ethical Charter to reflect the growing range of human rights and sustainability issues that could apply to its varied areas of business.

With legislation tightening up globally in these key business areas, the chances of employee non-compliance were very high. A key part of the strategy was to put prevention before cure.

They needed to connect and resonate with 25,000 global employees, including hard to reach seasonal workers, equipping and inspiring them all with a strong ethos.

Key factors included:

  • Reaching a truly global audience with myriad cultures and languages
  • Reinvigorating mandatory training while still assessing learner understanding

Solution

To transcend cultural differences, the physical Ethical Charter document is reimagined as an interactive pop-up book, a remarkable and highly visual eLearning solution, accessible and appealing to employees of all nations and working backgrounds.

Each page of the book is designed with 3D pop-up elements that include movement, sound effects and other multimedia elements, such as a mini pop-up cinema.

To comply with assessment requirements a summative quiz is included, cleverly presented as a pop-up game show with a host. Incorrect answers are also explored in an inclusive way, elevating the experience from a pure point-scoring exercise.

Results

The highly visual design, combined with translated versions, meets the challenge of reaching out to the expansive and highly diverse audience.

The course has been well received by learners and stakeholders alike. Learners enjoy the fresh approach, clear messaging and easy accessibility. Such is the impact, the solution has informed the standard of our client’s future compliance training.
